When Creating the Vi Vante Matador, Every Detail Matters

The Matador begins with 12 Strands of premium Top Grain Italian Leather. It is rolled with a special process so there are no visible seams. The Leather is braided over an inner strap for stability of the braid, and added strength. The Safety of customer cameras is our top priority.

The Matador Braid is 360 Degrees of beauty, which leads you to the finishing on the ends of the camera strap. Each end is wrapped in Napa leather. The built in side protection is also made of Napa leather with a finished edge. Underneath the loop there is thick nylon webbing that adds an extra layer of security for your camera. Our mounting rings are electroplated gun metal.

The ends are stitched by hand, each hole for the stitch is made with a special tool. We use thick stitching to keep it together. The reason why we do not use machine stitching is because of the thickness, the stitch lines are not controllable because of the changing angles of the braided leather. In addition hand stitching reinforces the hand made nature of this leather camera strap.

We proudly developed our own mounting rings. We do not believe keyrings from the hardware store belong on your camera. Electroplating adds luxury and styling. An Install tool is also provided.
